MAY 2008: I am off on another adventure this time to New York, to attend the National stationary Show and Surtex, I will be there May 17-22. Although, I will not have my own booth as an artist this year, it is a goal for the future. I am going with the intention to be inspired by all the other artist and illustrators that have taken this path before. I am so anxious to get to meet other artist, licensors, designers, and greeting card companies and see what advice they have to offer. With over 15,000 vendors and 400 artist it will seem a bit overwhelming I'm sure...but just like with everything else I am hoping to find my little niche.

FEBRUARY 2008: New Art Gallery Opening on Lower Greenville
Grand Opening and Artists' Reception February 8
INFO: A new art gallery featuring local artists opens February 8th. The Upper Room Gallery, located at the Unity Church of Christianity, 3425 Greenville Avenue (at McCommas Blvd.), will present it's inaugural show "Love...Awakening the Heart" February 8 through March 14th.
EVENT: Artists' Reception. The show opens with an artists' reception Friday, February 8th, from 7 to 9pm. The public is welcome.
MORE INFO: The Upper Room Gallery is proud to present the works of six local artists that have worked independently to show what they feel represents the awakening of the Heart, the spirit that lies beneath all that is and all that is essential. Artists contributing to "Love...Awakening the Heart" include Ashley Brown, Lisa Lindholm, Bob Munro, Michelle Stroescu, Jane Sublett and Jessica Sublett.
Dennis Graham, chairman of The Upper Room Gallery team at the Unity Church says, "The mission of the Upper Room Gallery at Unity on Greenville is to encourage and inspire, honor and celebrate the unique creative spirit in the visual arts."

THE OFFICIAL DEBUT OF ANGELISMS!

DECEMBER 2007: Thanks to Sanger Elementary for hosting their annual Winter Art Fair. The art fair took place December 8, 2007. A fabulous place to jump start "Angelisms!" I enjoyed getting to meet all the other local artist, most from the White Rock Lake area as am I. I love getting to explore and share creative ideas with each another. Looking forward to next years fair!
